Panel fencing
Panel fencing is gaining more and more supporters among house builders and is replacing the traditional mesh fencing, which for years reigned in our country as the cheapest and most practical way of fencing off the area around the house. Manufacturers panel fences and the panels themselves are outdoing themselves in creating more and more different infill designs, from the simple, traditional ones without unnecessary ornamentation to ornamented panels imitating wrought-iron fences.
There really is a lot of choice, and even when opting for a ready-made panel fence, you don't have to give up the opportunity to personalise and create a unique fence.
How can this be done?
As well as having different designs, the panels also come in different shapes (semi-circular, straight). We can also choose different types of spearheads and, of course, choose the colour of our fence to match the window frames or the colour of the roof. If among the ready colours offered by the manufacturer, there is no colour that interests us, fencing manufacturers also offer the possibility to order any colour from the RAL palette. Of course, we have to reckon with the costs of such a decision, but the possibility exists and it is worth knowing about it.
The advantage of panel fencing over fencing with mesh is also the fact that the same panels from which the fence spans are made can also be used for filling the gate. Some customers appreciate this solution, mainly because of the harmony in the appearance of the fence and the fact that it is definitely cheaper than ordering the gate and wickets separately.
Why choose a panel fence rather than a mesh fence?
Of course, considering only financial considerations, a panel fence will definitely be more expensive than a so-called 'mesh' fence, but it is worth considering several other important things in addition to the price.
The advantage of the panels is:
- easier to install (you can fit them yourself without too much trouble);
- greater strength (the wires for panel fencing are thicker than those used for mesh);
- structural rigidity (less possibility of deformation of the panels than of the mesh);
- the possibility of aesthetically fencing off areas with different angles of inclination (the panels can be at different levels while maintaining a pleasing appearance);
- security (the greater rigidity and thickness of the wires makes it more difficult for intruders to damage a panel fence than a mesh fence);
When deciding on a fence, it is worth considering for yourself which solution is best for you. It is worth adjusting the fence not only to the character and appearance of the house, but also to the neighbours' fences surrounding our property.
