Gates for special-purpose facilities
Anti-terrorism gates
Manufacturer of sliding anti-terrorism gates — the certified NOWAY design. We can manufacture any type of anti-terrorism gate.
NOWAY anti-terrorism gate
Anti-terrorist barriers are structures whose sole purpose is to stop a vehicle. Not to slow it down, nor to hinder its entry — but to stop it at the fence line. Rakstal manufactures them using a certified system NOWAY from the HI-MOTIONS brand, based on the TANK self-supporting sliding gate and tested in an independent laboratory in accordance with the standard ASTM F2656.
As a certified manufacturer, we produce the gate exclusively in accordance with HI-MOTIONS’ specifications, drawings and quality controls: an HEM 260 reaction beam along the entire length of the opening, welded HEB 280 posts on a reinforced concrete foundation designed for this load, S355J2 structural steel and welds carried out in accordance with EN 1090:2018.
On a day-to-day basis, the gate operates just like any other sliding gate — with automatic controls, induction loops, and integration with access control and a barrier. The difference only becomes apparent when it really matters.

Manufacturer of anti-terrorist gates
perfect
Design
We analyse the geometry of the entrance, the approach angle and the available space. We select either the M30 or M50 class, determine the clearance and provide the foundation drawings for approval by the site’s structural engineer.
accurate
Production
On-site welding, inspection of joints and documentation. We match the panel infill and RAL colour to the rest of the site’s fencing.

Assembly and service
Installation is carried out by our teams — including at sites with restricted access, in stages and within time slots agreed with security. Following handover, we take responsibility for the periodic inspections of the automation systems and structures.
Where are our anti-terrorism gates in use?
Critical infrastructure facilities where the entrance is the weakest point in the perimeter security. We have carried out such projects for clients in Poland and across Europe. For security reasons, we are unable to display photographs of projects carried out at secure sites on our website.
Data centre
Colocation and hyperscale campuses — delivery access points, vehicle airlocks, tenant security audit requirements.
Power stations
Thermal, gas and nuclear power. Gates within the perimeter fence of the secure area, with full material specifications.
Airports
Landside–airside crossings, service entrances and cargo areas, with emergency access for emergency services.
NATO bases and military installations
Checkpoints and main entrances, PA 68:2013 specifications, access procedures during installation.
Embassies and government buildings
Gates in urban areas, where both the durability rating and the appearance of the fencing are important.
Water supply systems and critical infrastructure
Water intake points, pumping stations, telecommunications hubs — facilities without permanent staff, controlled remotely.
ASTM F2656 — P1
M50
A vehicle weighing 6,800 kg, striking the gate at a speed of 80 km/h, comes to a halt, with none of its components extending more than one metre beyond the gate. That is the whole point of this design — and the only parameter that matters on the day of the test.
Rakstal anti-terrorism gates
Certified design
Crash test and certificate issued by an independent laboratory — not based on calculations, but on a full-scale test.
Licensed production
Manufactured in accordance with HI-MOTIONS’ specifications and quality control — for the client, this means the consistency of a certified solution.
Self-supporting gate
The TANK system has no kerb or rail in the carriageway. Nothing stops snow, sand or oversized vehicles.
Automation and integration
Drives rated for a load of 3,640 kg, integrated with access control, fire alarm systems, barriers and control from the gatehouse.
Colour scheme and filling
Any colour from the RAL palette, with panel, louvre or solid panels — the door doesn’t have to look like a bunker.
Servicing and inspections
In-house installation and maintenance teams, periodic inspections as part of the contract, and parts from the manufacturer’s warehouse.
At every stage of production
We take care of the details
We believe that in the production of gates, it is the attention to detail quality that is the differentiator on which to build a company. We watch over the care of the joints, we take care of the quality of the zinc coating and the paint layer. We verify the suppliers of steel and aluminium and precisely select the parameters of automation.
Example specifications for an anti-terrorism gate with a 7-metre clearance
ASTM F2656: a 6,800 kg vehicle travelling at 80 km/h, penetration of less than 1 m. An M30 configuration is also available.
ISO standard for vehicle restraint systems — full-scale crash test.
British specification for anti-terrorist barriers — required in NATO projects.
Clearance height in the standard configuration. Wing span 11.37 m and weight 3,640 kg.

Cooperation
We are a reliable business partner, and our services are used by companies from Poland and across Europe seeking a main contractor, subcontractor or partner to supply anti-terrorism and anti-ram gates, as well as steel and aluminium structures. We carry out both mass production and bespoke manufacturing.

Anti-terrorism gates — frequently asked questions
The load-bearing structure and the method of transferring the impact energy to the ground. The anti-terrorist gate features an HEM 260 reaction beam running the full length of the passageway, as well as welded HEB 280 columns anchored in a reinforced concrete foundation designed to withstand impact loads. A standard sliding gate bears only its own weight and wind loads.
M50 is a test in accordance with ASTM F2656: a vehicle weighing 6,800 kg strikes an obstacle at a speed of 50 mph, or approximately 80 km/h. P1 is the highest penetration rating — no parts of the vehicle extend more than one metre beyond the gate line. In the M30 version, the test speed is 30 mph (48 km/h).
A reinforced concrete foundation made of C25/30 concrete (Rck ≥ 30 MPa, vibrated), exposure class XC2, with B450A and B450C reinforcement as per the structural drawings. Standard blocks measure 2.0 m and 4.0 m. The drawings are provided at the design stage for agreement with the structural engineer.
It usually takes 10–16 weeks from agreeing the specifications to the finished gateway, a significant proportion of which is spent on constructing and curing the foundations on site. We set the deadline once the resistance class, clearance and scope of automation have been determined.
Yes. We supply complete sets of components to gate manufacturers: self-supporting beams, load-bearing and anti-tilt carriages, posts and accessories for telescopic gates — including models manufactured under a partner’s brand.
